Migeon the Pigeon Saves the City by Chez Rafter is an enchanting children’s book that blends the charm of urban wildlife with a powerful message about environmental stewardship. Through the adventures of Migeon, a hardworking pigeon determined to tidy up his city, Rafter introduces young readers to community responsibility and ecological activism. Migeon, a pigeon with a mission, patrols the city’s streets and skies daily, cleaning up litter and inspiring his animal friends to join his cause. The narrative swiftly establishes Migeon as a proactive and caring character concerned about the environment. His initiative quickly grows into the “Rubbish Rebellion,” a collective effort by animals and local children to restore the natural beauty of their surroundings. Chez Rafter’s writing is vibrant, filled with rhythmic verses perfect for reading aloud. The narrative is educational without being didactic, subtly weaving lessons about recycling, pollution, and the power of collective action into a fun and engaging story. The colorful and dynamic illustrations capture the bustling urban setting and the characters that Migeon rallies to his cause. The imagery enhances the themes, making the city's transformation tangible to young readers. The climax is heartwarming and motivational, with Migeon receiving a medal and the key to the city in recognition of his efforts. His speech, urging everyone to cherish and protect the environment, encapsulates the book’s message about the importance of sustainable living. Migeon the Pigeon Saves the City ends on a hopeful note, inviting young readers to join the ongoing Rubbish Rebellion in their communities. The book provides a starting point for discussions about how everyone can contribute to making the world cleaner and greener, no matter how small.
Carol ThompsonYapper the Snapper is more than just a fun story; it's a valuable tool for raising awareness about ocean litter. The engaging illustrations and humorous rhymes captured my children's attention and sparked important conversations about protecting our environment. This book is a must-have for parents, grandparents, and teachers who want to make a difference.
Gary SimmonsOtto’s (otter) pond was muddy & full of all kinds of litter & rubble. He was covered in goo. How could he help the crusty shelled clam? How could he help the blind as a bat bristle nosed rat? How about the wiry old snake? Will Otto be able to help others? A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written children’s otter book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s otter learning movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.
Tony ParsonsThis beautiful book is part of The Rubbish Rebellion series for children. Highlighting the impact of littering on wildlife and nature, this series is a set of great stories, beautifully illustrated by Daniela Frongia. I loved this book and would highly recommend it to any parent to read with their children as a great way to highlight our impact on nature whilst enjoying a fantastic tale together too.

Fairies guided lead the way for rubbish pickup. They tip toe trying not to wake campers. They see smoke. The Forest is in crisis. What do they do? Do they run and hide? This is a beautifully illustrated book 3 in the Rubbish Rebellion Series about leaving only footprints and taking everything else back home with you. It is an easy flowing book that will keep you and the kiddo totally involved. You will be asking yourself by the end, "Do you believe in fairies?
